Crafting Your Offer Stack

Discover how bundling value changes how people see your offer.

A thoughtful offer stack makes your core solution feel inevitable.

Have you ever wondered why some offers just feel right, while others, even with a great core product, fall flat? Often, it's not just about what you're selling, but how you present it. Building an 'offer stack' is like thoughtfully arranging everything you give your customer. It helps people truly understand the full value of what you’re offering. It’s about more than just listing features; it’s about creating a compelling package.

What Is an Offer Stack?

Think of an offer stack as the complete package you’re presenting to your customer. It’s your main product or service, plus all the helpful bonuses, support, and guarantees that go along with it. When you build an offer stack, you’re creating a whole experience, not just selling one thing. This approach helps potential customers see the breadth of what they’re getting.

The goal is to make your core solution seem like a natural, logical choice because everything else supports its success. It’s about building perceived value, making it clear that what you're providing is far more substantial than just a single item. This can make your main offer feel more valuable and less risky to commit to.

Start with Your Core Solution

Every offer stack begins with your primary product or service. This is the main thing you want to sell. Before you add anything else, be crystal clear on the single biggest outcome your core solution delivers. What transformation or result does it provide for your customer? This clarity will be your anchor.

For example, if you sell a course on dog training, your core solution isn't just 'lessons.' It's 'a well-behaved dog that listens to your commands.' That's the outcome people truly want. Once you know that, everything else in your stack should either enhance that outcome or remove obstacles to achieving it.

Identify Objections and Add Bonuses

Now, think about why someone might hesitate to buy your core solution. Are they worried about technical setup? Do they lack specific knowledge? Do they need ongoing support? Each potential objection is an opportunity to add a bonus that removes that concern. Bonuses should always serve a purpose, not just be thrown in.

Using our dog training example, an objection might be 'I don't know how to start with a puppy.' A bonus could be 'The Puppy Starter Guide (Value: $47),' offering step-by-step instructions for new dog owners. Another might be 'What if my dog doesn't respond?' leading to 'One Month of Trainer Q&A Support (Value: $197).'

Name Everything Clearly

Each component of your stack, especially your bonuses, needs a clear name, a brief description of its outcome, and a stated value. This isn't about making up numbers; it's about helping people understand the real cost of obtaining these benefits individually. When you name things, they become tangible and valuable in the customer's mind.

For instance, instead of 'a guide,' call it 'The Ultimate Leash Training Masterclass (Value: $99).' This makes it sound like a distinct product in itself. By naming and valuing each piece, you're building up the total perceived worth of your entire offer, which makes your ultimate price seem very reasonable.

The Power of Guarantees

A strong guarantee can remove much of the perceived risk for a buyer. It shows you stand behind your solution. Don't just say 'money-back.' Make your guarantee specific and appealing. What exactly do you promise, and what happens if they don't get it?

For our dog training, a guarantee could be: 'If your dog isn't responding to commands within 30 days, we'll work with you one-on-one until they do, or we'll refund your full payment. You get a well-behaved dog, guaranteed.' This shifts the risk from the buyer to you and builds trust.

Stacking It All Up

Once you have all the pieces, present them clearly, one by one. Start with your core offer, then add each bonus, explaining how it helps. Then, show the total value of everything combined. This process makes the total value feel substantial, preparing your audience for the price reveal.

A well-built offer stack does more than just sell. It educates your customer on everything they're getting and how it helps them. This makes the purchase decision easier and more satisfying. It’s like creating a clear path for them to get the result they're looking for, with everything they need already included.

The short version

  • An offer stack is your core product plus all supportive bonuses and guarantees.
  • Clearly define your core solution's main outcome before adding other elements.
  • Use bonuses to directly address potential customer objections or pain points.
  • Name and assign a clear value to each component in your offer stack.
  • A specific, compelling guarantee removes risk and builds trust.
  • Present your stack piece by piece to build perceived total value.
